Saint Saviour's Parish Notices

Getting Married

State Law: Both parties must give three months notice to the Irish State. (In the Dublin area this notice is given at the Registry Office, Lombard Street East, Dublin, 2) No Marriage can take place in the Republic of Ireland without giving this notice.

Church law: Both parties to give three months notice to the Priest in the Parish where you are resident.

Marriage Papers preparation: If you are resident in St. Saviour's Parish and you need you marriage papers prepared, please telephone the Parish Priest, Fr. Eddie Conway for an appointment at Telephone: 8897610. Marriage papers cannot be prepared by email. If you intend getting married in another country – Fr. Conway requires six months notice as the marriage papers must be sent via Archbishop's House when a Marriage is to be celebrated outside of Ireland.

Important Note: If one of the parties is non-Catholic – a dispensation from the Archbishop of Dublin is required before the Marriage can take place. The Archbishop requires six months notice.

Baptisms: To book a Baptism - one month's notice is required   Baptisms normally take place on Saturday afternoon.  A copy of the Birth Certificate of the baby is required before a booking is accepted. If the parents of the baby are non residents of St. Saviour's Parish, a letter from their Parish Priest is required.  Please telephone the Parish Priest  Fr. Eddie Conway at the Priory for an appointment. Telephone: 8897610.  Note: it is important to make an appointment.

 

Holy Hour - Every Friday Night

All are welcome to join us every Friday night between 8pm and 9pm

for an hour of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.

Dominican Salve Regina and O Lumen Ecclesiae

This is a recording of the Salve procession after First Vespers of a Sunday in St. Mary's Church, Pope's Quay, Cork, Ireland. This is the Dominican version of the Salve Regina, which is followed by the O Lumen Ecclesiae (O light of the Church) which is the Magnificat Antiphon of the feast of Saint Dominic.
